When Karen & John first met with us, they asked if we would be able to photograph the two of them at Hope Cove, a place very special to the two of them.
As you can see, it was a really beautiful day. There is just something about the beach, and the ocean, and a couple so in love, that just warms the heart.
We are really looking forward to photographing their day in August next year.
A fresh and crisp November day, and Steph & Dom arrived at Kilve for their pre-wedding shoot.
Such a fun couple, it was a lovely shoot, and we cannot wait to capture their wedding at Maunsel House this July- we have a feeling that love and laughter will be in abundance.
It was a lovely Autumnal day at Ramscombe last October when Nadine and Matt came along for their gorgeous pre-wedding shoot.
Ramscombe (Greatwood) makes a wonderful backdrop for a romantic walk in the woods, and it is easy to see the chemistry between the two of them.
We can't wait to capture their wedding day in August

The day was absolutely filled with love, laugh and tears of joy. It was such a pleasure to work with this wonderful couple and to have captured the memories of their magical day.
Steve and I were delighted to capture some stunning images for Woodlands Castle recently.
We have always loved photographing weddings at Woodlands Castle. It has lots of great features and photographic opportunities.
The vision for this shoot was to create a relaxed and bohemian feel, resulting in some really contemporary images to inspire brides and grooms to be, whilst showcasing this beautiful venue.
We had a great team who all worked together to realise this vision. We can't wait to work together will all of these suppliers again. Just think what we could all do for you on your wedding day....

We are frequently asked about engagement shoots, so therefore we felt it would be helpful to you if we use some of the most frequently asked questions as an opportunity to explain all about them in a little more detail.
What is it?
An engagement shoot is a photoshoot, which takes place prior to your wedding day. At Jakabi Photography, we shoot on location. The location is chosen by you and may be a favourite outdoor spot, or your wedding venue itself.
Why have one?
An engagement shoot gives you the opportunity to sample out work. Try before you buy. Wedding photography is an investment, and will be a huge part of your day and should never be overlooked, because after all, you have spent so much time planning all of the details of your day, you will want to be confident that your photographers will capture your memories just as you envisage.
It is more usual these days for wedding photographers to be with your for the duration of your entire day (often 10 hours+) so therefore it is vital that you get on with us.
Therefore, having a trial shoot gives you the chance to sample how we work with you, to see how we build rapport with you and also to examine the final product and be certain that yes, this is what you are looking for.
Steve or I will meet you on location at your chosen destination. We will have a chat with you and relax you before the shoot begins. We will begin snapping whist we chat, to capture some natural photographs of you and to get you accustomed to being in front of the camera. The shoot will normally take approximately an hour.
What if I am camera shy/ What if my partner doesn't like having their photo taken?
This is something which we are asked very frequently indeed. Most couples do not like having their photograph taken and in fact, some are even a little anxious about having their photograph taken on their wedding day. Steve and I are very experienced at working with couples to relax and calm you, and we keep a very natural feel to all of our shoots. So much so that it is often said that people have barely noticed having their photograph taken, and many say how much they have enjoyed the experience. The way we see it, photoshoots are meant to be fun and enjoyable and certainly not a chore. An engagement shoot gives you the perfect opportunity to address any worries or concerns that you may have about having your photograph taken so by the time your wedding day arrives you will be totally relaxed and confident.
How much does an engagement shoot cost?
The cost is £100, which includes the hour-long shoot and also 3 digital images of your choice to keep. You may purchase additional images at £5 per image. Some couples like to print an enlarged image from their engagement shoot for guests to sign on the wedding day. We can also help you with this. The great news is, if you book your wedding photography with us following your engagement shoot, we will deduct £100 from the total coat of your wedding photography package, meaning effectively, the shoot becomes absolutely free.
Did you know that we also give away a limited number of engagement shoots at wedding fairs? Why not pop in and see us at the following upcoming wedding fairs and speak to us about claiming your free shoot:
Knapp Farm Wedding Fair, Sunday 20th September 1-5pm
Maunsel House Wedding Fair, Sunday 4th October 11-3pm
